CLIENT NEED /

AATC has built a successful model for accelerating technology, and companies are truly taking their innovations to market faster here. AATC wanted a platform to attract other innovators from around the world to bring their innovations to Edmonton and grow their business here.

APPROACH /

Through interviews and discussions with key members of AATC, we were able to build a timeline of events that led to its creation and initial success. These stories showed us how an economic recession, cooperative spirit, and innovative thinking brought together a unique team of risk-takers and leaders who can never be replicated elsewhere. We wanted to capture and tell these stories through film.

INSIGHT /

Like attracts like. AATC wants to attract companies who are genuinely driven to transform the industry. In order to motivate them to relocate to a city they’ve likely never heard of, we needed to show them that their community already exists - and it is here in Edmonton.

OUTCOME /

We created a mini-documentary that weaves the origin story of AATC together through the individual stories of some of its key players, including its founding partners. The film gives viewers a glimpse into the personalities that make up this community, and highlights why AATC is such a special place for innovation.
